Digital Radiography and CBCT (Three-dimensional Imaging)Scans

Digital Radiography

Our practice uses digital x-rays because they have many benefits over films. We use the Kodak digital x-ray system which; yields the highest resolution digital radiographs in the industry, allows us to expose our patients to less radiation, provides images that can be enhanced so that we can better see the problem area, saves time, makes it easier for us to show the images to you, is environmentally friendly, and does not generate bio hazardous waste.

CBCT (Three-dimensional Imaging) Scans

We are lucky to have one of the few the Kodak combination cone-beam CT/panoramic units in Central New York here in our office. It can be used in examination and diagnosis. This high resolution, focused field cone-beam CT provides for exquisite anatomical detail and 3-D visualization that is revolutionizing the practice of dentistry. Coupled with computer software advances, we can view the dentition and maxillofacial complex from any perspective.
